We send newsletters through DonorDock that can be quite long. Rather than including teasers and linking to an article hosted on a website, we include all content in the email.
When building and editing lengthy emails, the auto-save feature is running continuously and this creates a significant lag. Moving my cursor just one position can take up to 30 seconds. It makes it very difficult to format text, add hyperlinks, fix typos, etc.
The email functionality works great for short messages, but it would be nice to be able to work on long messages without the extreme delay.

I can confirm this happens with a higher end PC build as well. Giving us the ability to change the auto-save time intervals (i.e. 30 second, 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc.) would be a great addition to email content editing.
